As always, we mind-numbed robots know where to go

You know what I think? Of course you do, because I don’t think at all, of course! I just repeat what Rush tells me to say.

Watch out, here comes that 15% around for another pass

December 20th, 2011

I repeat it to anyone who asks: I support 85% of what Ron Paul says, especially about domestic policy and the Constitution. But the other 15% is going to get me killed someday, if the man is allowed to dictate foreign policy. And for that reason, I won’t touch him or his mind-numbed Obamatonesque Paulbots with a 39-foot cattle prod.

From Ace:

Bradley Manning is a narcissistic, sociopathic coward and traitor with the blood of murder on his delicate little hands.

But that’s not the Bradley Manning Ron Paul knows.

No, Ron Paul sees the "hero" and "patriot" in him.

Charming.

“Learn to love the gridlock.”

November 20th, 2011

I’ve had this bookmarked because when I first read it, I wanted to watch the video and didn’t have time. Despite Karl’s doubts, the video is still up. Just as I suspected, it’s even better to watch Scalia saying it. He’s passionate, and not a little pessimistic. And for good reason.

Don’t know much about talk shows

November 11th, 2011

Rick Perry decided to travel the talk show circuit after a bad debate night, and people dumped on him for it. When the normally-lovable but recently off-kilter commenters at Ace chimed in, one moron opined:

Sigh. Try to imagine Lincoln doing the mid-18th century equivalent of a talk show.

Yeah, that couldn’t possibly have ended well. Lincoln would have looked like a fool and his political career would have been ruined.

Life imitates Monty Python

November 6th, 2011

A long time ago, in a filth pit far, far away….

King Arthur: Please, please, good people, I am in haste. Who lives in that castle?
Woman: No one lives there.
King Arthur: Then who is your lord?
Woman: We don’t have a lord.
Dennis: I told you, we’re an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week…
King Arthur: Yes…
Dennis: …but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting…
King Arthur: Yes I see…
Dennis: …by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs…
King Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis: …but by a two thirds majority in the case of…
King Arthur: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
Woman: Order, eh? Who does he think he is?

Meanwhile, not so long ago, on Wall Street:

At the teach-in, Ms. Holmes maintained that while the NYC-GA is the “de facto” mechanism for distributing funds, it has no right to do so, even though she acknowledged that most donors were likely under the impression that the NYC-GA was the only organization with access to these funds. Two other leaders of the teach-in, Daniel and Adash, concurred with Holmes.

Ms. Holmes also stated at the teach-in that five people in the Finance WG have access to the $500,000 raised by Friends of Liberty Plaza. When Suresh Fernando, the man taking notes, asked who these people are, the leaders of the Structure WG nervously laughed and said that it was hard to keep track of the “constantly fluctuating” heads of the Finance WG. Mr. Fernando made at least four increasingly explicit requests for the names. Each request was turned down by the giggling, equivocating leaders.

If you continue to read, you’ll find out that elements of the OWS crowd are finally learning the civics lessons they never got in high school. Unfortunately, without the hindsight they’d have if they hadn’t slept through History, Economics, and Political Science, it’s more likely that OWS will look exactly like Stalin’s USSR before they’re done.

Debate

October 12th, 2011

So, I actually watched the first half of the debate last night. I was deeply disappointed by the ENTIRE field. Why didn’t ANYONE attack Romney on his reasoning for RomneyCare? He said that, at that time, 8% of the population of Massachusetts had no health care and “we had to do something”. So, because 8% of the population should have something the other 92% have, the 92% should just bend over and take it? Don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of this crap. Will someone in the field PLEASE stick up for us, just once?
